Protect & Monitor PV PanelsSeries 789 current sensors continuously measure DC currents to optimize PV energy production. Networked via MODBUS, the sensors help system operators quickly identify defective or damaged PV modules. More>>
Solar Tracking Function BlockWAGO offers 2 function blocks for developing solar tracking applications with its 750 or 758 series controllers; one for PV application and one for concentrated solar applications. Both are offered at no cost. More>>
The Memory MasterThe 750-880 Ethernet based programmable controller includes an SD card slot to mobilize up to 8GB of memory… ideal for expansion, backup/restore, program update/exchange, and data logging. More>>
Disconnect Terminal BlocksWAGO knife disconnect terminal blocks safely isolate PV generators from inverters. In addition, the CAGE CLAMP technology inside provides for safe & reliable connections independent of operator skill. More>>
Wiring TransitionSeries 222 and 773 splicing terminals make reliable transitions between USE-2 type conductors to THHN/THWN-2 conductors. No more taping, twisting, or crimping. More>>

Solar Policy: What Does The SEIA Think About The Trade War?
|
Whether you’re talking about solar thermal, photovoltaic panels or concentrated photovoltaics, this solar trade war with China (and as of last month, possibly India) is fascinating. It doesn’t matter what side of the issue you’re on (and as I’ve said repeatedly, I can see both sides of the issue so far), this is a fascinating discussion of the international solar market and brings up all sorts of ideas about how to level the playing field. Which led me to ask Monique Hanis and Jared Blanton from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) how the association felt about the ITC complaint.

I wonder what has happened in Germany. Have some in their government gone through an odd black hole and gone back in time? That’s the only thing I can think of to justify the decision of the economy minister to come out in favor of cutting solar subsidies in such a drastic fashion (something the environmental minister, predictably, opposes).

SEIA and Solar Alliance Merge: News Analysis
This article appeared in The Hill newspaper this afternoon, and I must admit it took me a little by surprise. But one criticism I’ve heard of the Solar Energy Industries Association was that they didn’t do a good job of fighting on state issues.
Consider that problem, at least partially, solved.
