Solar Policy: Don't Screw This Up
|
There’s a lot to digest from this morning’s press conference at the National Press Club, where a panel of industry experts (led by Rhone Resch) discussed the stunning good numbers from the solar industry for the 3rd quarter of 2011. Here’s the takeaway that will have the greatest impact on the industry in the near-term: the potential expiration of the 1603 Tax Incentive program on Dec. 31.
It’s time for all members of the industry to call their Senators or write them a note and tell them how devastating the expiration of the 1603 Tax Incentive program would be for the industry. I’ve already done it, and you should, too.
We will only get one shot at making this happen, so don’t screw it up. Let it not be said of you that you didn’t raise your voice to defend your industry. After all, if you don’t, you’ll have no one to blame but yourselves.
