PEM® C.A.P.S.® CAPTIVE PANEL SCREWS (THREE MOUNTING STYLES WITH COLOR CODED KNOBS

PEM® C.A.P.S. ® captive panel screws uniquely integrate a captive screw with anti cross-threading feature and a PC/ABS colored knob to provide an ideal fastener solution where subsequent access to an assembly may be required. Specified in standard black, red, orange, green, blue, violet or metallic , these spring-loaded assemblies install permanently in aluminum or steel sheets as thin as .036” / 0.92mm and can be supplied in self-clinching, flaring, or floating mounting styles. Their captive-screw design reduces parts to be handled and eliminates risk of screws falling out and damaging internal components.

Advanced Thermal Simulations Keep Electronics Cool

Advanced Thermal Simulations Keep Electronics Cool A key goal in our product development process is to use design and analysis tools to reduce the number of prototypes we must build and test during the concept design phase. These software tools help us determine the best designs for reducing and dissipating heat generated by electronic components. The thermal analysis tools validate thermal designs before building prototypes, and in some cases, eliminate the need to prototype.

The ability to predict thermal performance in early stages of the product design process helps reduce the number of prototypes, which reduces product life cycle time and cost. We evaluate thermal performances of our drive modules, inverter and rectifier modules, filters, custom designed cabinets, and other components and assemblies.

What are Wave Springs?

All springs store mechanical energy. There are generally three types of springs; tension, compression, and torsion springs. Tension springs operate in tension with a load attached, so with an increasing load the spring will be stretched out. Compression springs operate under compression, so with increasing load this type of spring will become shorter. Lastly, torsion springs operate with torsional or twisting loads.
